Lenovo ThinkPad keyboard is getting raves for good reason: key travel, feedback, and a space to make the most comfortable typing is available on mobile devices. When I saw the island style button on a Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Folio Keyboard case ($ 100 from March 7, 2012), I thought there was no way the company could replicate the amazing feel of typing with those keys. Turns out I was wrong.

It's all in the form of a button. While most of the island-style keyboard has a flat, square buttons, concave, allowing ThinkPad keys your fingers to settle more easily into the middle of each key. A space is just the opposite: it is round, making it very easy to find with the side of your thumb. Button is pressed deep and responsive. Although the spaces are not wider than other attachable keyboard dock in, it feels roomier and more like typing on a laptop.

Because this device is the Android keyboard, the function keys on the top row is all related to Android. At the top is a volume control, brightness control, home button, settings, key, zoom in and out, and control playback. Also of note is the real, separate Page Up and Page Down arrow keys that accompany. That's right--it's not a secondary function of the arrow keys, but a special button, find fun.

In the middle of the keyboard is what looks like an old-school ThinkPad pointing stick eraserhead--but it really is oh-so-much better. It's optical mouse that you don't have to push at all: just slide your finger across it, and move the cursor around the screen. By putting in the middle section of the keyboard, Lenovo continues the main benefit of pointing stick, because you don't need to switch the hands from the keyboard to move the cursor on the screen.

Keyboard connects with USB, but it was closed in the case of folio in such a way that the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet is the only thing that can fit the plug. That means the keyboard to get the power of a single tablet USB ports, so you don't need to worry about batteries or charging (even though you provided the ability to sideload something for tablet via USB). The Keyboard itself has three grooves along the back of the tablet machines, provides three different angles; Unfortunately, all three of the corner tip tablet a bit too far back for my taste. All ports and buttons, as well as a tablet with pen, remains accessible when you have the tablet in folio, and you can easily fit the tablet in and out. Wrap leather case folio gives a premium feel.

  • Multimedia buttons for speaker volume and mute, microphone mute, play, and pause
I found a few flaws, however. Folio case, Keyboard and adds a lot of weight. ThinkPad Tablet is one tablet on the market, and chunkier extra bulk Keyboard case makes it a bit heavy Folio from the point of view of portability. In addition, the Pier offers no additional ports, and no extra batteries. I might be more inclined to tolerate the majority if this adds time walking the pier, as well as the Asus transformer TF101 Mobile Docking Station. No matter how happy my keyboard is, if it makes You hesitant to add it to your bag because it was so big and heavy, the add-on is defeating the purpose of a tablet.

  1. Some cases can add options and flexibility. For instance an open-faced hardshell case with an integrated hand strap will make your tablet wearable. There are others that are drop and water-resistant to three feet. This is a crushproof, foam-lined carry case with an air-pressure valve that can keep out dust and water.
