The Ceo Off AMD: The Race Was Over CPU Speed

Blog Online Store: The Ceo Off AMD: The Race Was Over CPU Speed -

The rivalry between the processor speed ever done by AMD and Intel appears to have ended. After the emergence of the AMD processor FX with a Bulldozer, it looks like AMD chip is no longer a passion in the pursuit of speed which is owned by the perennial contender, Intel. At least, it was said by the CEO of AMD, Rory Read.

"Era has ended," said Rory Read in Businessweek. "Currently processing power that exists on every laptop in the world is enough." Whether it is the words of the CEO's latest AMD will be liked by the users the AMD processor that exists today. It indicated that AMD has really no longer want to compete with its competitors in terms of CPU speed. However, AMD saw that there was a competition that comes from chip makers such as the ARM, Qualcomm and NVIDIA.

Rory also added that AMD currently manufacture the Trinity which has about 70% better graphics performance than the Intel chipset. With Trinity, AMD is confident will be able to produce a thin and light notebook without any deficiency in the supply of chips, as was the case before. "I thought we came and stole the" meat "at the competition (notebook), thin and light, and captured most of the opportunities there," he said.

Rory Reads have made a strategy of differentiation of products owned by Intel, which has dominated the PC processor market 80%. This product differentiation strategy will be fully implemented by 2015. "In the future, this will make AMD'S very different, but we have a long way to go," he said. "There is the passion to innovate but there needs to be a passion for passion and poured it for (give) a customer."

Then how about you? Do you agree with what was said by the CEO of AMD? Or do you still agree with the strategy defined by AMD CEO before? Don't forget to leave your comments below!
